Florida Visit

Last week, the girls and I went to Florida to visit my family for a week.  We had a great time while we were there and since the girls and I are by ourselves a lot it was a nice break for us (well, me in particular).  We had a pretty low key visit, which was nice.  We did spend Saturday night in Tampa with our whole family to celebrate some birthdays.  Our family likes to be together to celebrate birthdays even if it means the celebrations are a month or more late.  While in Tampa we celebrated my aunt's birthday, which was in February, Emma Catherine's, Bailey's, and my grandpa's, whose was the only one actually in March.  We had a great time shopping and being together.  Unfortunately I didn't take near enough pictures while we were in Florida, but here are some I got.

My mom and I took the girls to Bounce U, an indoor inflatable place.

In Tampa we did a little shopping, laughed a lot, eat some yummy food, and opened presents.

Our last day we took the girls to Sweet Berries.  It is the best frozen custard anywhere.

Let's Play "Baby"

Lately Emma Catherine's favorite thing to do is to play "baby."  When the neighbors are over she likes to be the baby and have one of them be the mommy, but when she plays with Bailey, she is the mommy and Bailey is the baby.  Today after lunch they were playing baby in the playroom while Ryan and I were cleaning up the kitchen.  I went upstairs to put Bailey down for a nap and Emma Catherine wanted to keep being the mommy so I let her read to Bailey before her nap like I would normally do.  She picked the Elmo book that repeats the verses of "If You're Happy and You Know It" because she knows it and she could pretend to "read" it.  It was so cute that I called Ryan to bring the camera upstairs.
Notice the paci in Bailey's mouth.  Lately she likes to play with paci's even though she would never take one as a baby.  She doesn't even suck on them.  She just holds them in her mouth.  Half the time, she has it in upside down because she doesn't know the difference.

Princess Emma Catherine

Last weekend, Emma Catherine went to a birthday party at the Princess Parlor. Her friend, Chloe turned 4.  It was a very neat place and she loved it.  When she got there she got to choose a princess dress, ring, and purse.  Then each princess got her hair, nails, and make up done.

Next, they had raspberry tea and cupcakes on real china.
Finally, they had dance lessons.  It was a great idea for a birthday party.

All the princesses.
