Our New Friend

A couple of weeks ago Ryan noticed this on our deck... It was only in this general area (around our grill). Ryan thought it was weird but I assured him that I saw a lot of birds in our grass one day. Then for a few days we noticed some grass under our grill but we didn't think anything about it. Yesterday, Ryan decided to open the grill and this is what we saw...
We were shocked to say the least. You can't tell very well from the picture but the ENTIRE grill is filled with grass, hay, and sticks. It also amazed me that the opening on the side of the grill is this small.
I can't imagine how much work this bird put into this nest. Today I opened the grill to look inside and I found this...
At some point I guess a baby bird will hatch in our grill, to think that yesterday we almost cleaned out the grill. I am now wondering if we will be able to use our grill again once the birds leave. Don't birds carry diseases?

Spring Break

For Spring Break we went to Florida to visit my family and to surprise my grandpa for his birthday. (**warning lots of pictures to follow)

We had Emma Catherine ring the doorbell and we all hid behind the bushes.
He was shocked...
While we were there we had tons of fun. We were very busy, but we also had time to relax and sleep in (a little bit). We went to the beach and the girls really liked it. Emma Catherine played in the sand and Bailey ate snacks on the blanket. She did not like touching the sand at all.
We took the girls to a park near Papa's house and treated him to lunch for his birthday.
Ryan and I got to go on our first date in about 8 months or so, and we didn't have to be back so I could nurse. We went to dinner and a New York Yankees spring training game in Tampa. We love our girls so much but it was nice to be able to have a night to ourselves. This is the only picture we have (so bad of me)...oh well, it was a memory.
We also celebrated my Papa's birthday. He hates being the center of attention but we made sure to make a big deal of it. He insisted on only wanting 1 certain present and ABSOLUTELY nothing else so we wrapped up a lot of empty boxes just to make him mad. We all laughed so hard and poor Emma Catherine didn't understand at all why the the boxes were empty.
We also went to see our friend, Trey play tee ball. Emma Catherine brought her new glove that her Lolli got her.

Overall we had such a fantastic week and we were sad to leave.

All I Can Say Is She Likes to Eat!

Bailey liked her dinner so much she licked the plate clean. We were cracking up.

Bailey's dedicaion

On Wednesday night we had Bailey's baby dedication at church. A baby dedication is a time to present your baby to the Lord and a commitment to teach your child about the Lord and help them to come to an understanding of faith in Jesus Christ. Also, we committed to striving to be godly parents. Pastor Tony gave Ryan an open red rose, me an open white rose, and Bailey a closed red rose. He also gave Bailey a bible and a special letter. We are to give her the letter when she becomes a Christian. The letter tells about the day we dedicated her and the commitments we made. I can't wait for the day to be able to give Bailey this letter.

Our church recently went to 3 Sunday morning services and since they are pressed for time, they are only doing baby dedications at the Wednesday night services. We wished we could have had our family there, but that just wasn't possible. Luckily, we were able to have some friends from sunday school take pictures and video it.
