All In Weekend

This past weekend we went to Auburn for Auburn's first All In weekend.  We had actually already picked out this particular weekend to go to Auburn because gymanstics and basketball were both home, so we would have gone regardless.  They called the weekend All In weekend because their were 5 sports playing at home.  We had tickets to see gymanstics and basketball and we were planning on seeing softball as well but Saturday it rained most of the day.  We went to the softball field and only saw Auburn play 1 inning before the game was called.  We spent the rest of the day piddling around Auburn until it was time for the basketball game.

On Friday we left as soon as Emma Catherine got out of school.  We ate a quick dinner and then went to see the gymnastics meet.  The girls were in awe at the meet and the Auburn gymnasts had one of their best meets ever, even though they still lost.

After the the meet, the girls wanted to look for Lauren's picture and look at the Auburn memorabilia.

On Saturday the rain definitely dampened our plans and caused some unnecessary whining but we did eat a late lunch at my favorite place in Auburn, Niffers.
Saturday night we headed to the basketball game in plenty of time.  We had time to look around, let the girls get their faces pained, and play a few games.  It was such a great game and Auburn pulled out the win, which made it even better.  I was curious how the girls would do but they enjoyed it because their was so much going on...cheerleaders, band, music, giveaways, etc.

It was a fun weekend and we will definitely do it again next year.

Happy birthday Bailey

Our sweet Bailey girl turned 4 today.  She woke up with a smile and it hasn't stopped all day.  Bailey is such a happy child and she always keeps us laughing.  She comes up with the most random, out of the blue things and we love her for it.  She definitely liked the being the birthday girl today and she asked my grandpa why he didn't sing to her (the birthday song) and then later she asked my mom (who had already sung to her in the morning), "Don't you want to sing to me?"

We actually took Bailey to Build A Bear last night because the girls had ballet tonight and we knew we wouldn't have time to get everything done tonight and get in bed at a reasonable time.  She picked Roly Poly for dinner after ballet and she wanted GiGi's cupcakes for dessert.  Since she didn't have school today, she will take a treat to school tomorrow.  I let her pick what she will take to school and she picked gummies.  I'm sure because that's what Emma Catherine took to school.  I tried and tried and tried to explain that Emma Catherine was only allowed to take gummies to school but that she was allowed to take cupcakes, cookies, etc if she wanted, but she had her mind made up.

Happy birthday to our sweet Bailey girl!

Birthday Party

Since the girls' birthdays are 3 weeks apart, we chose to do a combined birthday party again this year.  Surprisingly, they both agreed they wanted a inflatable birthday party so we had their party at Pump It Up.  I am very glad we had an inside party because after such a mild winter, it was freezing and windy.  We had a great time at the party and are so very thankful for our friends and family.

Show Us Your Singles

I frequently read a blog called Kelly's Korner, and every Friday she does Show Us Your Life link ups.  This Friday is Show Us Your Singles, as in single friends, relatives, etc.  She has done these before and so far 4 couples are either married or engaged, and I think 5 other couples are dating.  Each time she had done a singles link up, I have thought of my wonderful sister, Lauren so this time I am actually posting.

Lauren is 27 years old and lives in Nashville, TN.  She is a graduate of Auburn University (War Eagle) in elementary education and she is passionate about Jesus, Auburn, sports, friends, family, and her nieces (which happen to be my daughters).  My daughters love their "Lolli" so much and I am so glad they have her in their lives.

Lauren is a wonderful sister and my best friend.  She loves Jesus and seeks Him with her whole heart.  She teaches a children's Sunday School class at church.  She is a great listener, very humble, and loves to laugh and have fun.
(she's on the left)
Typically in Nashville you might find her hanging out with friends or on the intramural fields playing softball, flag football, or kickball.  She is very athletic and actually played softball at Auburn.

As I said before my girls love spending time with her and she is always willing to make the 3 hour drive to visit us to be involved in their lives and even babysit for us.  She is a nanny in Nashville to two sweet little girls and is basically apart of their family because she puts her whole heart into anything she does.  I love her so much!

If you are interested in talking with Lauren or know someone who might be, leave me comment and your email and I will make sure she gets it.

Circus

This weekend as part of Emma Catherine's birthday celebration, we went to the circus.  Ryan and I both had childhood memories of going to the circus and when out neighbors suggested going, we knew the girls would like it.  The girls were in awe and to be honest so were Ryan and I.
