Fall Festival

Last night we went to our church's fall festival. We all had a lot of fun even though it was pretty cold. I know I'm the mom, but both girls were too cute. I think the pictures say it all.

The 8th month

Bailey is 8 months old now and she is moving all around. She isn't officially crawling, but she is scooting everywhere. She is getting close to crawling though because she gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth and also she gets up on all fours to propel herself forward. She wants to be where everyone else is and always seems to be watching to see what Emma Catherine is doing. She has started feeding herself puffs and she fusses to have more put on her tray. She is also saying consonants like dada, baba, etc. In general she is still a happy baby, unless she gets tired and then she gets upset. She still sucks her thumb but seems to only do it when she is just about to go to sleep. I'm hoping it will stay that way.

She is eating her first biter biscuit. She loved it but it made a huge mess.

The Pumpkin Festival

While we were in Florida we went to a pumpkin festival that is held in our town. They had shows, crafts, games, music, pumpkins, pony rides, and train rides. Emma Catherine loved all of it and we were so proud of how brave she was. Last spring we went to a festival with pony rides and she wouldn't even get close. This time she jumped right on the pony. The weather was a tad warmer than we would have liked, but otherwise it was a great day.

Our trip to Florida

We spent 10 days in Florida last week visiting my family and we had such a great time. It was relaxing and fun, but as always, it went too fast. Here are some pictures to recap our week:

Only in Florida...

...do you need a swimsuit in October. We came to visit my parents without swimsuits and Emma Catherine wanted to go swimming at a friend's house. I searched Walmart and I was in luck. I found Bailey and Emma Catherine each a swimsuit for a dollar...what a bargain. Walgreen's still had swimmys, so she was set to swim. Even though I grew up here, now that I live in a place with 4 seasons and little humidity, I seem to forget how hot it is. The high 80's in October? When we left Chattanooga, the high was 70, and fall was all around. I love visiting my family though, so I won't complain...well at least not too much.

Saturday Garage Sales

Today our neighborhood had a community yard sale. We didn't sell anything but I enjoyed walking around and looking at what others are selling. On top of that, we had success! Emma Catherine and Bailey both got something that I have been looking for and both items were very cheap.

Emma Catherine got a ...tricycle. Bailey got a ...musical jumper.

As you can tell, they are both excited about their new toys. They both have on their game day attire...auburn cheerleading outfits. Hopefully Auburn will beat another team from the state of Tennessee today.
